It's an irony of fate, right?

A ironia começa logo pelo título do filme e que dá também nome ao bar em que o protagonista entra após ter sido libertado da cadeia, onde terá permanecido várias décadas. Mas a ironia depois continua através do seu passeio pelas catacumbas desse bar, onde testemunha várias cenas hardcore e onde constata o "progresso" dos novos tempos, face às aventuras pelo seu passado de cruising dos wcs publicos, quando a homossexualidade ainda era legalmente proibida. Se aquilo é a "grande liberdade"...

A última dança

 

Seria capaz de ser interessante perceber a percentagem de casos de perturbações mentais provocado, em qualquer cidadão comum, pelo confronto entre as suas expectativas e a realidade. 

Esse pode ser o leitmotiv do filme Aftersun, o "debut" de Charlotte Wells. 

Nele somos testemunhas dos dias de férias partilhadas entre um pai e uma filha na Turquia. Ao longo do filme, percebemos que a descontração da sua relação contrasta fortemente com o transtorno emocional que o pai vive interiormente.

Não vemos muitos sinais de uma depressão, mas destaca-se uma cena fortíssima em que vemos essa personagem a chorar compulsivamente, de costas para a câmera, sentado numa cama, sozinho, no quarto do Hotel.

Tudo se passa de uma forma ainda mais despercebida aos olhos da sua filha. Ela passa pelo fase do início da adolescência, tem as suas próprias "dores" de crescimento e algumas delas passam justamente por entender as contradições da vida adulta: dois pais que dizem um ao outro que se amam, mas que se separaram? 

Cerca de 20 anos depois, estas férias continuam no pensamento desta mulher, pois provavelmente terão sido as últimas que passou com o seu pai.

O trauma parece acompanhá-la ao longo de todos esses anos. Ela tenta obter alguns sinais nas imagens de vídeo que o pai gravou durante essas férias.

Para além deste auxiliar da memória, há um sonho constante em que se vê o pai, em transe, a dançar numa rave.

O mais real que ela testemunhou desta natureza, foi na última noite dessas férias quando o pai tentou convencê-la a ir dançar para junto dele numa pequena festa ao ar livre no Hotel, onde estão hospedados. 

O pai move-se energicamente ao som de "Under Pressure" e ela mantém-se inerte a assistir, enquanto se ouve o Freddie Mercury cantar:

Subitamente ficou tudo com o "pito" (literalmente) aos saltos com gajos fardados no Tinder.
Foram acusados de falta de conduta e de postura imprudente, pela GNR, e de concorrência desleal, no Reddit. Entretanto, pelo sentido de humor, já são coroados reis no Twitter.
Ainda não vi ninguém apontar o óbvio: mais surpreendente do que se concluir que alguns homens fardados ainda precisam de uma app para "faturar", é constatar como o engate chegou a este nível infinitesimal de esforço e de sedução.
